Something like this can always cheer me up. Frank and Sammy mime each other's words so well that sometimes I can't tell if which one's singing. At 1:19 - 1:21 for instance, are they trading every other word?
I can't say enough about Sammy Davis Jr. How can one person have so much talent. One of the greatest dancers ever. One of the great jazz singers. A comedian who can always put a smile on my face and make me feel great. An unbelievable impressionist. This song seems to be a specialty of Sammy's. I have seen another version on Youtube in which he does a hilarious impression of Maurice Chevalier, and does a great dance routine. I hope you enjoy this.

ReplyDeleteI feel like, at that one part you're talking about, it's just Frank Sinatra singing the whole thing. It looks like Sammy's mouth is moving but sound couldn't possibly be coming out of his mouth, except for maybe the word "my".
There are good videos of him dancing on YouTube. He also has made a number of good jazz recordings.
