I'm not sure how popular this video became, but it's pretty neat so I thought I'd share anyway. Two teens from Canada got together and ballooned a lego man and camera into space!

  1. Funny comment on CBC's article about it:

    "Great work, guys!

Combining your Canadian ingenuity with some Danish building blocks has produced great results.

Now if we can now get a pair of 17-year-old Danes to send some Mega Bloks into space, I imagine the two countries will be able to amicably solve their Hans Island irritant!"

  2. Naaaaaaawwwwww.... can you really do this, and the next question that needs to be asked before the end of the sentence is WHAT message should we send into space on behalf of isle of bile.

  3. What kind of balloon is that? IS that possible?

  4. Yes! It is! I'm so happy you think it's so cool because – what the hell – I'd love to do this. Haha. Those boys made their own balloon too. Everything cost them less than $500. And they retrieved the camera/lego man too I think … after the balloon popped and it fell back to earth. I think it was just a weather balloon.

Wait - I said "outer space" when I don't know the technical terms.. it wouldn't technically have been space. Just really high up there.

  6. Aren't they Scarborough teens, to be precise? Toronto deserves more specific credit, if you ask me.
